Covid-19: Young people raise awareness in Menongue
Menongue - About eighty young volunteers in Menongue, the capital of Cuando Cubango, raised awareness among vendors in the Peace and Castilhos markets, as well as merchants next to the Moçamedes Railway Station, of the need for continued compliance with preventive measures to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The mandatory use of face masks, social distancing, regular hand washing with soap and water and the use of alcohol gel, among other specific measures in this phase of the Public Calamity, deserved greater emphasis on the part of young sensitizers.
In brief statements to ANGOP, at the end of the field visit, the provincial executive secretary of the youth council in Cuando Cubango, Miguel Tchissingui, said that the campaign was well received by sellers and also buyers who came to the informal markets, due to the danger that Covid-19 represents for the lives of each citizen.
He said that the campaign also covered clients of BPC and BFA banks, with young people interacting mainly with the elderly, as they were a vulnerable layer in relation to Covid-19.
Cuando Cubango province, which so far has not seen positive cases of Covid-19, is located in south-eastern Angola, with nine municipalities and 32 communes, and has an estimated population of over 600,000.
