Angola gains first prison centre for youth

Wako Kungo - The first national prison centre for young people is going to be inaugurated on Tuesday in Wako Kungo city, central Kwanza-Sul province, by the Home Minister, Angelo de Barros Veiga Tavares, Angop has learnt.
The centre is aimed at accommodating people aged between 16 to 21 years old and socially reintegrates the young people, through professional and academic training.
The inauguration is part of the modernisation process of the corporation.
It comprises an administrative area, a craftworks pavilion for training in the fields of carpentry, blacksmith, electricity, computing, and bakery, as well as a six-classroom primary school with a library.
