Over 50 cases of murder, suicide reported in Luanda over jealousy
Luanda - More than 50 cases of suicide and homicide for alleged passionate reasons (jealousy) were recorded from early this year in Luanda.

The statistics were released Wednesday by the Provincial Command of National Police in Luanda.
According to the spokesperson for Provincial Command, Chief Inspector, Mateus Rodrigues, most of the cases are associated with shooting with fire arms and hanging.
He admitted that the cases tend to increase.
According to him, in addition to the deaths, many cases lead to the body mutilations as result of violence within the family.
Meanwhile, the police senior officer appealed to the families and various institutions of civil society for a more active work on sensitising the citizens toward avoiding violence and respect for life.
On the other hand, the police spokesperson mentioned two cases recorded this week in the municipalities of Cazenga and urban district of Kilamba Kiaxi in Luanda.
The first case involves a young man who hanged himself when his wife decided to spend the night out door without notice.
In the second case, a citizen shot his wife and then killed himself for alleged infidelity.
The man died at the scene, while the victim is under medical care.
