Police reports 34 road accidents in November

Caxito - At least 1 person died and 50 others were injured as a result of 34 road accidents in November in northern Bengo province, according to the report of the Provincial Command of the National Police.

According to the document there was a decrease of five deaths, 11 injuries and eight road accidents compared to the same reference period.

He explains that there are nine accidents among motor vehicles, nine road crashes, seven collisions between vehicles and motorcycles, five rollovers, two accidents, a crash against a fixed obstacle and a motorcycle crash, resulting in material damages of 9,7 million Kwanzas.

The over speed, lack of public lighting, poor condition of some roads, driver recklessness, uncontrolled consumption of alcohol, family argument and unknown people are cited as the main causes of  incidents.
