Malanje: Regular elections ensure increased democracy - minister
Malanje - Angola's Media minister José Luís de Matos said Wednesday that the country has increasingly affirmed itself as a democratic nation by holding regular elections, described by international observers as transparent, free and fair.

The minister said so at the opening of the 2nd meeting of preparation and strategies for electoral coverage on 23 August, held Wednesday in northern Malanje province.
The event was jointly sponsored by Media sector and Revitalisation and Execution of Institutional Communication and Administration Marketing Office (Grecima).
Luis de Matos insisted that the fourth elections taking place in the country demonstrate the regularity of this process.
However, he said, the journalists are called to ensure an impartial and transparent coverage.
The meeting was chaired by the incumbent minister at the presence of the director of GRECIMA, Manuel Rabelais.
National directors, CEOs and members as well as journalists and other staff from various media houses, also attended the event.
The meeting was addressed to the professionals of the provinces of Malanje, Uige, Cuanza Norte, Lunda Norte, Lunda Sul and Moxico.
The first event of the kind took place last week in Benguela and brought together representatives from the central and southern regions of the country, namely Bié, Huambo, Huíla, Namibe, Cuanza Sul, Cuando Cubango and Benguela.
