The gathering is to analyse matters like the characterisation of the main health indicators, children’s education, presentation of UNICEF’s strategic actions for Cunene, assessment of the functioning of child protection networks and issues relating to basic sanitation.

According to the UNICEF technician, Pedro Cawilila, the meeting aims at drafting a plan of tasks relating to the support to children and proposing to the local government joint actions for the year 2018, in the ambit of the existing partnerships.

The acting governor of Cunene Province, Feliciano Salomão Himulova, has deemed the meeting extremely important and UNICEF a valid partner in the assessment of social policies for the benefit of children.
