The meeting takes place under the slogan "Youth, I want to stay in your house", and brings together 188 young people from all over the country, except from Ondjiva (Cunene), Benguela and São Tomé.

The main objective of the three-day meeting is to discuss how to raise financial resources for the diocesan youth commission and youth ministry, present the annual report, challenges and perspectives and the strategy for pastoral action for youth.

In the opening act, the provincial governor, Gonçalves Muandumba, called on young people to respect adults for being "libraries" alive in society.

He also wants the young people to have education, respect, and demonstrate quality, solidarity, friendship and justice for all.

The bishop of the Diocese of Luena, Bishop Jesus Tirso Blanco, asked for "deep reflection" on what the young person is today, the way of being as a citizen, a disciple of Christ, a member of the church, as well as in society and in the family.
