Bié: Minister announces more investments for Camacupa

Camacupa - Minister of Energy and Water João Baptista Borges has announced the rehabilitation of water treatment and supply system, out of order for two year, in municipality of Camacupa, central Bié province.

Baptista Borges announced this to the press during his visit to Bié, adding that there was financial condition to recover the project.

The undertaking has a reservoir of 100,000 liters with capacity to pump 10,000 liters / hour.

The minister, who would not reveal the amount,  said that the investment  will be attached

to another water treatment and supply system , funded by China's credit line, started last year.

On the other hand, the official assured the resumption of rehabilitation works of 10 megawatts hydroelectric dam on Cunje I River to supply electricity to the towns and surroundings of municipalities of Camacupa and Catabola.

However, he said, 82 percent of the material for the rehabilitation of the Camacupa dam has already been available.
