Governor demands National Police to work closer to citizen

Luena - The eastern Moxico province governor, Gonçalves Muandumba said Wednesday in Luena that a more active National Police (PN), engaged in public safety and closest to the citizen is what he expects from the corporation.

Moxico: National Police receives new vehicles

Speaking to journalists at the ceremony of delivery of 10 vehicles to the various organs of the local delegation of the Interior, the minister called the reinforcement of the fight against crime and effectiveness of the Integrated Center for Public Security.

Gonçalves Muandumba called on the police officers in order to take care the vehicles and use them to combat crime in urban centers, in bordering communities and villages.

As an initiative of the Ministry of Interior, the governor asked the department for more means of transportation to face the local shortage, due to the "much degraded" road network.

The director of the Criminal Investigation Services (SIC), Américo Naval Hugo, characterized as "stable" the crime situation in the province, with an average of two daily crimes, mostly due to suicides, and witchcraft as well as corporal offenses.
