Speaking during the roundtable on "good news", the official considered that it is not correct to demand certain personal, technical, ethical, deontological responsibilities to the public press and not to do the same with the private.

The excesses, according to João Melo, are to be pondered, whether in the public or private press, because everything that is in excess will certainly be condemned.

For the journalist Reginaldo Silva, one of the four guest speakers in the round table, there is no good news or bad news, the most important thing is to manage the information according to the reality of the country and the facts.

Also lecturing on the occasion, the director of the Diário de Notícias of Portugal, Ferreira Fernandes, said that one should not confuse good news with propaganda.

The roundtable on "good news" was organized by the Ministry of Social Communication and was attended by the Secretary of State for Social Communication, Celso Malavoloneke, CEO's of Media Public Outlets, Meda Content Administrators, journalists, and others.
