Zaire: Rains displace 30 households in Nzeto

Mbanza Kongo - Heavy rains that poured on April 24- 29 this year left thirty families homeless in the municipality of Nzeto, northern Zaire province.

Fire-brigade spokesperson in Zaire, Manuel Mpanzo Cassua,  told Angop Saturday that the rains flooded some streets causing havoc in several parts of locality.

The rain victims are still sheltered in homes of relatives and neighbours, awaiting the support by the authorities, the source added.

With an estimated 29, 451 inhabitants, the fishing district of Nzeto is located 230 km from the capital of Zaire province, Mbanza Kongo.
