According to a press release that Angop had access to today, Tuesday, it is stressed that the strategy used by these criminals focuses mainly on the request of sponsorship to cover actions or philanthropic activities, and the awarding of prizes by public entities.

The document mentions that last week the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC) detained some of the members of one of these groups and will continue to carry out actions, in order to detain the others.

In order to put an end to this situation, the Ministry of the Interior warns all institutions and citizens who are notified for the purposes referred to above, address the public institutions previously referenced and report them to the Criminal Investigation Service, the note states.

The Ministry of the Interior also warns national and international public opinion for the existence of groups of citizens who have spread false news, through social networks, with resources to audio texts and videos, taken from situations that have occurred abroad, in some cases with shocking images in order to cultivate fear and feelings of insecurity, and in this way seek to convey the idea of ??the government's incapacity to treat public security issues, a matter that has been deserved by the specialized agencies for proper treatment.
