Governor of Cunene considers fraternal Angola and Cuba relations

Ondjiva - The governor of Cunene, Kundi Paihama, said Thursday in Ondjiva that the relations between the Republics of Angola and Cuba are fraternal, since they date back from the earliest days of the struggle for national independence.

The governor made these remarks when speaking at the celebration of the 65th anniversary of the assault on the Barracks of Moncada in Santiago de Cuba on July 26, 1953, noting that the Cuban people have always been on the side of Angolans in the various historical periods of the country.

The bonds of friendship between the peoples of Angola and Cuba are fraternal and today it is visible, the Cuban Government continues to be a privileged partner in the progress and development of the country and in particular the province of Cunene.

Kundi Paihama also expressed, on behalf of the people of Cunene, thanks for the cooperation that Cubans have given in the areas of medical care and education.
