Angolan Red Cross gets new chairperson
Luanda - Angolan jurist Alfredo Elavoco Pinto was elected Friday chairman of the Red Cross of Angola (CVA), with 47 votes.

This was during the 4th Renewal Mandates Assembly of the Organization, held from 23 in Luanda.
Also run for the position were Bibiana de Almeida, with 24 votes and Carlos Gourgel (06).
The Assembly, which gathered 120 delegates, was opened by the Vice-President of the Republic, Bornito de Sousa.
Alfredo Elavoco Pinto, 47, is a Health Ministry’s employee and member of the Angolan Red Cross (CVA), created on March 16, 1978.
