Journalist Pedro Fidel to be laid to rest Tuesday
Luanda - The Angolan journalist Pedro Fidel Dielunkunsia Wa Luketo, who passed away recently in the DR Congo, is to be laid to rest this Tuesday in Benfica Cemetery, in Luanda.

Journalist Pedro Fidel
Media minister João Melo has addressed a message in which he expresses his deep consternation for the death of journalist Pedro Fidel, whose remains arrived in Luanda last Monday.
Pedro Fidel, or simply as he was often addressed Mr Diel, for decades worked for the Angola Press Agency (ANGOP), having held posts like head of the Central Co-ordination Department, head of Exterior Diplomatic Material Department and head of the French News Desk.
He joined ANGOP in the year 1979.
Pedro Fidel was born in Maquela do Zombo Municipality, northern Uige Province, on 29 September 1944.
He went to retirement in March 2017, after holding for a few years the position of press attaché in the Angolan Embassy in the Republic of Congo.
