Angola at opening of CPLP youth year in Lisbon

Luanda - The Minister of Youth and Sports, Ana Paula da Silva do Sacramento Neto, will take part in the opening of the "Year of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP) for Youth" on Wednesday, January 30, in Lisbon (Portugal).

According to a press release sent to Angop, this year the relevance of this theme will be highlighted for the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP), the alignment of the theme with the CPLP cooperation agenda, with the United Nations Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development and Development Goals (SDGs).

During the ceremony will be present the plan of activities for the year 2019, which has as reference the Strategic Vision of the CPLP 2016-2026 and the Youth Action Plan 2018-2022.

The "Year of the CPLP for Youth" aims to strengthen the effective participation of young people of the community in the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of CPLP development policies, particularly in the context of the successful implementation of SDGs.

The Conference of Ministers of Youth and Sports of the CPLP, on the occasion of its XI, held in São Tomé and Principe on 20 July 2018, decided to declare 2019 as the Year of the CPLP for Youth.
