Angolan Josefa Sacko distinguished in Belgium
Luanda - Angolan national, Josefa Sacko, the current Commissioner for Rural Economy and Agriculture of the African Union Commission has been distinguished with the Recognition Prize by the Crans Montana Forum during the event held on November 14-16, in Belgium.

The event, held under the motto “African Women Embody Universal Values, a model for their youth and also for the whole world”, also distinguished the Cape Verdean Maria Helena Semedo, Deputy Director-General of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
Josefa Sacko already made it to the list of the 100 top Influential African Women in 2019. The diplomat was elected in London this year as one of the 100 top Influential People in Climate Policy in 2019 by Apolitical.
This time, Josefa Sacko received an award for her role and dedication in promoting family farming, especially the cause of rural women.
“I dedicate this award to all rural women in the African continent”, the diplomat said.
