Luhongo satellite city unveiled
Catumbela - The Minister of State for the Social Affairs , Carolina Cerqueira, made this Friday, the symbolic delivery of the keys of four residences of the Luhongo satellite city in municipality of Catumbela coastal Benguela province, unveiling this housing project.

Beneficiaries include a representative of former combatants, a teacher, a nurse and a disabled person.
Carolina Cerqueira said that this was proof of the Angolan government's commitment to solving social problems in favor of the most vulnerable people, in the context of the fundamental rights of citizens, namely the right to housing, health and education.
At the time of the official presentation of the project data, the Secretary of State for Housing, Joaquim Silvestre, informed that the two thousand dwellings of the satellite city are divided between detached houses, terraced houses and apartments.
The sale prices of the apartments are estimated at 9,1 million kwanzas, while the houses cost 10.7 million kwanzas, to be paid in 360 months, with interest of three percent.
Regarding the support infrastructures, the satellite city has a kindergarten for 100 children, a primary school for 810 students, a secondary school for 1,080 students and a health center with 58 beds. The health center has an ambulance.
