Former Angop information director laid to rest Friday
Luanda - The remains of the former director of Information of Angola News Agency (ANGOP) José Eduardo Oliveira Xavier were buried Friday at the Uíge municipal cemetery.

Antigo ex-director of information of Angop José Eduardo de Oliveira Xavier
The journalist, who has been retired since 2015, was found dead Wednesday in his residence in Dunga, a suburb of Uíge city, the capital of the northern Uige province.
Son of Xavier Miguel and Domingas José, the late journalist was born on July 15, 1958 in Cuimba, municipality of the same name in the province of Zaire.
José Eduardo Oliveira Xavier was graduated on July 15, 1998, a degree in Communication Sciences from the University of Beira Interior, in Covilhã, Portugal.
The deceased joined ANGOP on April 1, 1982, after serving as a teacher in Uige between 1976 and 1979.
