From this number, 128 are from Europe, 48 from America, 31 from Africa and 28 from Asia - CIAM's director-general, Antonio Mascarenhas, said when assessing the institution's performance over the past 12 months.
The director said that accreditation was now facilitated by the operation of the new website, where foreign media professionals have access to the rules and procedures of entry into Angola and the exercise of the activity.
The website is part of a project of the institution to ensure that foreign media professionals do not face difficulties when requesting entry into Angola to cover activities.
António Mascarenhas pointed out that CIAM has received many requests for social activities, including monthly academic debates on issues of law, in partnership with different institutions and ministerial departments.
Created on June 25, 1976, CIAM is an institution supervised by the Ministry of Social Communication, dedicated to the support, monitoring and accreditation of the foreign press in Angola.
Regarding CIAM's years of existence, the director considered them satisfactory insofar as the different institutions in Angola already understand the objectives and importance of the Aníbal de Melo Press Center.
