Lunda Sul Government collects donations for drought victims

Saurimo - The provincial government of Lunda Sul Tuesday launched a campaign to collect donations to support the drought-stricken population of the provinces of Cunene, Namibe, Huíla and Cuando Cubango.

The provincial governor of Lunda Sul, Daniel Neto, who led the ceremony, called on businessmen, churches, traditional authorities, the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) and the National Police to engage in this solidarity campaign to help mitigate the suffering of victims of drought.

On the first day of the campaign, the Provincial Government of Lunda Sul has already collected 100 bags of corn, 80 rice, 25 iodized salt, 50 boxes of food oil, 200 bottles of mineral water and used clothing.

At the collection points, interested parties may donate non-perishable food, hygiene products, kitchen utensils, shoes, used clothing, bottled water, among other goods.
