Renowned Rangel and Bairro Popular wards facelift works gain momentum

Luanda - Facelift works in Rangel and Bairro Popular wards are estimated to consume USD 120 million, announced last Saturday, in the country's capital, the general director of the Technical Unit for Luanda's Sanitiation Management (UTGSL), Antas Miguel, during a ceremony that served to inaugurate the start of this urban development programme.

The information was given to the press on the fringes of the referred ceremony, in which was announced the rehabilitation works for 47 streets in Bairro Popular, four in Rangel and the re-installation of a road bridge.

The facelift works, which are to last roughly three years, will include interventions in the drainage system, the water pipeline, the telecommunications and electricity supply networks, as well as public lighting, road traffick signalling and other architectural embelishments.

The launching ceremony of the facelift programme was attended by the governor of Luanda Province, Ségio Luther Rescova.
