Angola attends meeting on gender equality

Luanda - The first Lady of Angola, Ana Dias Lourenço, is due to address this Monday the second meeting of the group of leaders on gender equality taking place in the United States of America.

Angolan First Lady, Ana dias Lourenço


This is the second time that Ana Dias Lourenço takes part in this high level meeting, at the invitation of the chairwoman of the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Ecuadorian, Maria Fernanda Espinosa Garcés.

The First Lady is to address the panel on gender equality and inclusive societies as part of the accomplishment of the sustainable development goals.

In January this year, Ana Dias Lourenço had reiterated in New York, the support and availability of Angola to share its vision and good practices for the gender equality, quality education for all and women’s empowerment.
