Rome - Pope Francis announced Sunday in Rome a proposal to nominate 13 new cardinals, including Archbishop Emeritus of Benguela, the Italian Archbishop Eugénio Dal Corso.

According to the Vatican News website, the formalization of the appointment will take place in a Consistory to take place on 5 October, an event during which the nomination of 10 new cardinals will be announced.
Bishop Eugénio Dal Corso in Angola since 1986, was ordained priest on July 7, 1953 in Verona (Italy), his homeland.
