Luanda government meets with taxi drivers in Viana
Luanda - A meeting between the Government of Luanda Province (GPL) and the heads of the taxi drivers associations with the purpose of addressing, among others, the issues of road accidents and the creation of fixed taxi stops, took place today (Friday) ) in the municipality of Viana.

The Meeting was chaired by Governor Sérgio Rescova, served to demand from the taxi drivers greater prudence in the exercise of their activities and the commitment of the GPL to recover secondary and tertiary roads, as well as the service of maintenance.
The withdrawal of the taxi stop next to the Viana Catholic Church, the construction of special public transport routes that could help to clear the traffic, was also discussed during the meeting.
Sérgio Luther Rescova has advised taxi drivers to take a different approach while performing their activities to reduce the high rate of accidents that has caused many deaths.
Luanda province has 177 routes and 169 taxi stops.
