Over 30 projects implemented in Namibe

Moçâmedes - At least 39 projects from the total of 52 social projects included in the Integrated Plan of Intervention in Municipalities (PIIM) are currently being implemented in several municipalities of the southern Namibe province.

For this end, a total of AKZ 824.4 million have been made available for the implementation of the projects linked to health, education, road, agriculture and basic sanitation sectors.

These are the construction, rehabilitation and expansion of primary and high schools and their equipment, construction, expansion and equipping of health centres, residential complexes for teachers and nurses.

The program also includes the opening and repair of water holes, rehabilitation of dams, roads and acquisition of equipment for the improvement of basic sanitation.

There are 80 classrooms under construction for 2800 primary school students.
