In updating the epidemiological situation of the last 24 hours in the country, the minister called on the population to comply strictly with the individual and collective protection measures guided by the health authorities, as it is the only way to save human lives.
During the session, Silvia Lutucuta reiterated that the community circulation of the virus only covers the province of Luanda, where there are more than 100 positive cases without epidemiological link, while Kwanza Norte still has local transmission.
She also warned people with virus-resistant immune systems to continue to observe rigorously the use of face masks, physical distancing and hand sanitization, among other preventive measures, because they could be infected again.
"The period of immunity to the virus is short, which can vary from two to six months. Therefore, it is necessary for all of us to comply with the prevention," added the Health official, in the presence of the Minister of State and Head of the Security House of the President of the Republic, Pedro Sebastião.
