Police capture "Puto P'' in Namibe

Moçâmedes - The prisoner Eusidio Correia de Sousa Pacheco "Puto P", at large since last July, was captured this Friday by the Provincial Command of the National Police in Namibe.

Sentenced to 23 years in prison for crimes of theft, rape of minors and qualified thefts, the citizen escaped from the jail in the district of Moçâmedes using a mosquito net and pliers.

Until now, he was nowhere to be found.

Since his escape from jail, Puto P has been accused of committing more than five crimes, such as robberies at supermarkets, fuel pumps, roullots and residences.

The citizen was captured at around 5:30 pm today in the district of Valódia, municipality of Moçamedes, when he was in a "kiosk" consuming some products.

According to the provincial commander of the National Police, Commissioner Sebastião Mendes, the capture was possible after a hard work and a "good operation" of nearly two months.

In a statement to Angop, thepolice official reported that during the arrest he was shot twice in the leg, while once again trying to escape from the police force.

The commander assured that the shots did not cause serious damage.
