Calulo electrical substation ready by December
Mussende - A substation with an installed power of 40 MVA, running in the town of Calulo, municipality of Libolo, province of Kwanza Sul, will be completed and able to supply electricity to consumers within 60 days , at the latest by December.

The information was given today to ANGOP by the head of the Omatapalo contractor, Luís Póvoa, having said that the substation is 60 KV/30- 40 MVA and is in the final phase of its assembly.
"By December we will deliver the work ready for operation, as work is also underway to install prepaid meters for at least 11,164 consumers," said the technician on the sidelines of a visit by the Minister for Energy and Water, João Borges.
He also said that 19 400 volt Transformer Stations (PT) had been installed and six others had been renewed, giving customers 24 hours a day autonomy to provide services.
The substation is connected to the national grid over a 120-kilometre route.
Work began in October 2018 and 90 technicians between Angolans and expatriates are participating in this phase.
