Angola: Minister urges hotel owners to invest in national products

Luanda - The Minister of Hotels and Tourism, Paulino Baptista, on Friday in Luanda called for hotel owners to provide customers with food of national production and practice affordable prices to stop relying on imported goods and thus boost the country's economy.

Inauguration of Palmeiras hotel

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of a hotel in Luanda, the minister encouraged hotel investors to promote links with travel and tourism agencies to attract clients, seeking to offer more services and divulging to the world the best of the Angolan tourist beauty.

 According to the minister, the inauguration of the hotel "Palmeiras", located in Talatona (Luanda), represents an increase in the supply of accommodation with affordable prices and provide youth employment, and tourism's contribution to the diversification of the economy.

The infrastructure, built from scratch will employ about 150 workers.
