Tundavala Slits

Bicuar National Park

It has an area of ??1,200 km2 and is bounded by the rivers Chicusse, Cunene, Cusso, Cussava and Chissanda. These reserves of savannas and miombos there are several historic religious buildings and forts, some dating from the Seventeen Century.
 

Old Railway Station

 Built between 1905 and 1923, it is a place of tourist interest (colonial architecture) and the Hamilton Lopes building dating from 1895.
 

Caconda Fortress

This fortress was built in 1682 and is the oldest monument of historical heritage of Huila.

 

There are still a number of typical buildings of colonial architecture that is worth mentioning as the Mandume School (former Diogo lyceum), Paula Franssinete College, built in 1938 by sisters Doroteias, Tchivinguiro School, as well as the Familia Almeida home.
