Jiu-Jitsu: Head of State encourages sports practice
Luanda - The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, on Friday in Luanda encouraged youth to practice sports during a ceremony honoring the national team of Jiu-Jitsu who last April won four gold medals in the World Championship, played in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

On that occasion, the Head of State conveyed an incentive to the athletes and all national entourages that in total won nine medals (four gold, one silver and four bronze) in the XI edition of the event in the Brazilian version.
Speaking to the press, the silver medal in the category – 69 kg Américo Mutunda expressed satisfaction for the reception, adding that the delegation was encouraged to continue work.
"It is always good to be recognized by the highest authority in the country ... it gives the strength to continue working for new medals," he said.
Cristian Chaves, bronze medal in the category - 50kg, welcomes having shared moments with the President of the Republic and promises to continue working for more achievements.
In the championship the country was represented by 28 athletes.
At the national team debut, on April 20, with Kiriana Neto (7 years old) won the gold medal in the children's class, category -27kg (yellow belt) and Kuamy Santos (8 years old) won bronze in the category -27kg).
