Luanda - Angola will participate today (Monday) in Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), in the Global Business Forum on Africa, under the motto: “Scale Up Africa”.

The Africa Global Business Forum, 2019 (GBF, 2019) is a high level event and is attended by prominent figures from the international political, economic and business arena.
Angola participates with a delegation headed by the Minister of Economy and Planning, Manuel Neto da Costa, and also includes the Ministers of Agriculture and Forestry, Tourism, Higher Education, Science and Technology and Innovation and the Secretaries of State of Commerce and Telecommunications.
The forum, opened today, is addressing issues related to the implementation of the main strategic guidelines and economic perspectives of the African continent.
The event is also a platform for attendees to jointly analyze how Africa and the United Arab Emirates can help accelerate the development of a new generation of cutting-edge innovation companies and assess the success of a new class of innovation of business leaders.
GBF Africa 2019 aims to explore and build connections that will allow for scale-up and joint approaches between the two regions - Africa and Dubai, with a view to establishing strong and creative partnerships between aspiring young entrepreneurs, solid businesses and governments.
The forum, which closes on the 20th November, also aims to evaluate what needs to be done for business, financial and government leaders to identify opportunities and develop links between Africa and Dubai, making the African continent a key investment destination.
