The information was released Thursday in Beijing during a meeting that the Angolan ambassador to China, João Salvador dos Santos Neto, held with Deputy Director General for African Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Guo Haiyan.

At the meeting, which served to analyze the visit flow of official entities between Angola and China, Guo Haiyan revealed that the Angolan delegation to the event has already confirmed its presence with a multisectoral delegation that will be headed by Minister of Commerce Joffre Van-Dúnem Júnior.

Other countries honored for EXPO Hunan 2019 are Egypt, Cote d'Ivoire, Senegal, Tanzania and Uganda.

The Deputy Director-General for African Affairs also reported that the Chinese government holds in July the coordinators meeting of the China- Africa Cooperation Forum (FOCAC) in Beijing, to which Angola will be represented by a secretary of state.

Angola is China's main economic partner in Africa and, in recent years, trade between the two countries has accelerated sharply but still very concentrated in oil.

Turnover between Angola and China surpassed US $ 26 billion in 2018, but the Asian giant expects the figure to grow in the near future given the intensity of bilateral relations between the two countries.
