In the inauguration ceremony of Cláudio Paulino dos Santos, who replaces Sílvio Franco Burity, the minister requested the new AGT chairman and his staff not to lose sight of the power of constant dialogue with the taxpayers.

“The broadening of the tax base goes through the increase of the effective taxpayers numbers, adding our services network, improvement towards the equipping of tax and custom offices to be equipped technologically and functional computer systems, as well as the image of our  infrastructures and the customer service quality”, she stressed.

To Vera Daves, it is important for the AGT to have a more expressive number of taxpayers and be able to contain the tax evasion levels through greater efficiency of the entire  system.

More than words, modernization is the unavoidable path, as it is being confirmed with the VAT implementation that must serve as great lesson.

Vera Daves manifested herself expectant about the performance of the new AGT board, appealing for more dialogue with taxpayers and using the disciplinary measures and other penalties only as a last resort.

The minister also swore in Santos Augusto Mussamo and Mónica Luena Ferreira Carneiro as board directors.

However, Sílvio Franco Burity former AGT CEO, as well the directors Inalda Marcela Kwayela de Oliveira Manjenje Furtado da Conceição and Hélder João Beji were all dismissed from the board.

Vera Daves de Sousa swore in also the Finance Provincial Delegate of Uíge Province, Eufrásia Juliana Miguel de Sousa, and the head of the Luanda Province  administration and finance department, Tomás Eder Miguel de Sousa.
