In his Twitter page, where the official has pointed out the positive changes that are taking place in Angola, João Melo has given a special remembrance to those who have opened the way to this medium of wide communication.
The date was declared in 2011 by UNESCO, as it was on that day that United Nations Radio first issued, in 1946, a simultaneous program for a group of six countries.
Radio has followed the main world historical events and today it continues to be a means of social communication that reaches the largest audiences, accompanying the technological evolution with the integration of new equipment, which stands out, nowadays, the online transmission.
It is a very useful means for the populations, as a tool to support debate and communication, or for cultural promotion or in cases of social emergency, as well as being a platform for disseminating facts and stories.
