Luanda Biennial presents diversified programme

Luanda- Cultural agents and culture makers in general on Tuesday received information regarding the goals of the Luanda Biennial to happen this year in the capital of the country, with a diverse cultural prospectus, with a view to becoming a forum for ideas, debates, lectures and seminars.

Luanda Biennial presents diversified cultural programme

According to the director of the Culture Ministry’s Exchange Office, Paulo Kussy, the biennial, which will only take place in Luanda, is intended to create an African movement that can spread the importance of the culture of peace, taking into account the development and affirmation of African countries in various fields, particularly in the defence of human and minority rights, as well as the fight against corruption.

The event, being organized by Angola, the African Union (AU) and UNESCO, will take place from 18 to 21 September in various parts of the capital city.

During the meeting, the culture makers received information about the objectives of the event, which will move the city with a diverse cultural programme, forums for ideas, debates, lectures and seminars on the theme of the Biennale.

The event aims to promote harmony and brotherhood among peoples through cultural and civic activities and manifestations, with the integration of African elites and representatives of civil society, traditional and religious authorities, as well as intellectuals, artists and sportsmen.
