Musician Jivago dies

Luanda - Angolan musician Jivago died Thursday in a hospital unit, victim of a disease, ANGOP learnt from the musician Chico Madne, who regrets that one more loss leaves the Angolan music world impoverished.

Musician jivago dies

The author of "Ramiro" and "Avó Teté"  had been hospitalised, a few days ago, at Hospital do Prenda, in Luanda.

Adão Gonçalves, or simply Jivago, was born in the province of Luanda, in 1954. He entered the world of music when he joined the group Bentiaba Show, created in 1977 in  Namibe.

In 1983 he joined the group Fenomenal, with which he recorded the song "Avó Teté", later embarking on a solo career.
 

"Ramiro",  was recorded in 1989, in the auditorium of national Radio of Angola (RNA), in Luanda .
