Cuando Cubango: March 23, 2019 to be special
Menongue - The celebrations of March 23, Cuito Cuanavale (Cuando Cubango) Battle Day, from 1987-1988, this year will be special, according to the Minister of State and Head of the Security House of the President of the Republic, Pedro Sebastião.

In statements to the press, at the end of a few hours visit to Cuito Cuanavale, the Minister of State and Head of the Security House of the President said that there are motives that advise the accomplishment, this year, of an activity of greater impact, in relation to those that were celebrated as the date was considered a regional event by the countries of the Southern African Development Community (SADC).
Similarly, he said that the start of the 200-house projects in the Samaria neighborhood, in the region, as a landmark, since even under the fight the population did not abandon the village.
Pedro Sebastião stressed that for all Angolans Cuito Cuanavale has a very special meaning, so a committee of the House of Security went to the village to check the current state of the infrastructure built in recognition of the role that this region played in the struggle for the maintenance of territorial integrity.
