Minister calls to speed up road maintenance
Caxito - Angola's minister of Construction and Public Works Manuel Tavares de Almeida Monday urged for the need to speed up the maintenance process of the roads to ensure access to various zones and agricultural production areas.

The minister was speaking to the press in northern Bengo province, where he inaugurated the training of trainers' course for operators in road maintenance.
He recommended the trainees to better handle the equipment to ensure lifespan of these means.
Manuel Tavares de Almeida handed two road maintenance and conservation kits to Bengo government .
He explained that each province would receive two kits. Fifteen equipment are being be distributed in the first phase and the remaining 20 by January 2020.
The acquisition of the 35 kits cost around 90 million euros, including training of operators and acquisition of spare parts for a period of two years.
Some 50 operators of the maintenance and conservation of roads from the province of Cabinda, Luanda, Cuanza Norte, Malanje, Zaire, Lunda Sul, Lunda Norte, Moxico, Uige and Bengo, are benefitting from nine-month training opened Monday in Bengo province.
