Benguela Hospital saves AKZ 12 million on oxygen output

Benguela - The General Hospital of coastal Benguela Province is to save 12 million kwanzas with the entrance into operation of the oxygen manufacturer in that health institution.

The information was disclosed to the press on Tuesday by the provincial health director, António Manuel Cabinda, adding that the oxygen factory has the capacity to produce 20,000 liters of oxygen per hour, which enables it to meet the demands of the hospital.

According to the health official, until last Monday (date that the oxygen manufacturer kicked off operation) the hospital would buy oxygen in several manufactures spending an average 400,000 kwanzas daily.

Benguela General Hospital is the largest sanitary unit in the province,  providing assistance to various kinds of specialty such as general clinic, cardiology, haemotheraphy, pediatrics, ophthalmology among others.
