Municipalities with resources to spend on medicines
Luanda: Luanda-based municipalities have financial resources to purchase medicines for health facilities in their jurisdictions.

The assurance came from director of Luanda Provincial Health Office, Miguel Gaspar.
Miguel Gaspar was speaking at the end of the meeting aimed to assess the sector in Luanda, chaired by the provincial governor of Luanda, Sérgio Luther Rescova Joaquim on Wednesday.
The director said that the municipalities have resources to make their local purchases, adding that the exercise takes into account the particularity of the area and the special need of the hospital, like that of the specialised burns unit.
Miguel Gaspar pointed to the need for chain improvement, from production to consumption.
The health facilities in Luanda have been functioning without constraints, including in delivery and operating rooms, although the operation is secured by Tanker trucks fitted with a cistern to transport and distribute water in the health units.
Regarding the health situation in Luanda, the official said that the sector is working on preventive actions to deal with the rainy season diseases.
