Covid-19: 64 infections, 27 recoveries

Luanda - Sixty-four new positive cases of covid-19 have been detected in Angola in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number in the country to 1.344 infections.

The information was released Tuesday evening in Luanda by the national director for Public Health, who added that in the last 24 hours Angola also recorded the death of one and recovery of 27 patients.

Delivering the daily covid-19 update briefing, Helga Freitas said the new infections include Luanda with 58 cases, northern Zaire province (4), central Bie and southern Cunene (one) each.  

According to the official, the ages of the new patients range from three to 78 years. 53 of the patients are males.

In total, Angola has 1.344 positive cases of covid-19, 59 deaths, 503 recoveries and 688 active patients.
