The Cabinet minister, who was speaking at the update session on the Covid-19 pandemic, considered health professionals to be "true warriors" and front-line technicians, who have provided exemplary service, especially at that time of the fight against covid-19.

"We must continue to work in an inclusive and collaborative way with all sectors of society, particularly with defence and security bodies, which are with us at all times, between good and bad, constituting themselves as our direct arms", she appealed.

According to the minister, she continues to count on the support of journalists as the number one health promoter, helping to spread accurate information on preventing and combating covid-19.

She reiterated that the fight against the new coronavirus is a fight for all, which is why every citizen must do his/her part and set a good example by strictly complying with the prevention measures against the Sars-Cov-2 virus.

On this occasion, the spokesperson for the Multi-sectoral Commission to Combat Covid-19, also reinforced the call for citizens to continue to wear their face masks correctly in public places and in passenger transport means n order to reduce the risk of people being contaminated by covid-19 in the country.

Speaking about the behaviour of some citizens (salespeople, taxi drivers and passengers) who have disobeyed the correct use of the mask, in the last 24 hours, due to misinterpretation of the new protection measures that began to be in force this Wednesday, the minister noted that covid-19 is still in Angola and the country continues to register a high number of new infections daily.
