The fair, which took place in a playing field, aimed to test the residents of the suburban area on the pathologies that most afflict the communities, such as hypertension, malaria, HIV-AIDS and diabetes.
The tests were free of charge and each resident received instructions on prevention measures, medication and advice on how to behave for a healthier life.
The municipal administrator of Cabinda, Berta Marciano, who witnessed the opening of the fair, said that the aim was to assess the state of health of the residents, as well as to advise them on the care to take.
The Amilcar Cabral district is regarded as one of the oldest in the city of Cabinda, where sanitary cordons have also been imposed due to the cases of Covid-19 registered in the district.
The health authorities of the province intend, with these fairs, which take place on weekends in each district of the city of Cabinda, to instil in the citizens the culture of disease prevention.
