Located in a large area in the town of Kinjanda, between Porto Quipiri and the old sugar mill, in the municipality of Dande, the statue of Alligator Bangão symbolizes the preservation of culture and the resistance struggle of the local population against the colonial regime.

To mark the anniversary, the Dande Municipal Administration has organized a number of events, highlighting a roundtable on the history of the Dande, a workshop on the role of the city in the sustainable development of the municipality, a clean-up campaign, ecumenical worship, an arts and gastronomy fair , musical-cultural show and sports activities.

About the municipality, Anastácia de Vasconcelos said that the Municipal Administration works to make the Dande an increasingly better place for its residents and acknowledged that there are still sectors that are not well.
