The official spoke about the radio and television signals, during the Forum of Municipalities of Angola, which takes place since Thursday, chaired by the Minister of State for Economic Coordination, Manuel José Nunes Júnior.

Celso Malavoloneke reported that the current figures are quite low and worrying due to constraints such as the lack of electricity on the one hand and the availability of emission receivers on the other as part of the challenges of broadening the signals of these media which would allow greater access to information for most citizens.

With regard to radio, he stressed that the technological solution adopted in 2007, in this case Modeled Frequency (FM) transmission, is the least technologically appropriate because it is of direct transmission and that, in case of high declines, quality declines because it is designed for urban centers.

The Secretary of State said that despite the installation of a set of repeaters, it is still considered insufficient, despite the fact that each of them constitutes a complicated operational and logistic unit, starting with the need for a generator, fuel, maintenance and safety of the infrastructure, a situation that has compromised the actions for the enlargement and expansion of the signal throughout the national territory.
