The administrator gave the information during an interview to the press, in the ambit of the 54 years of Viana’s existence since the time it was officially established as a town.

On the other hand, the official informed that a multisectoral team was created to also conduct a technical study on the Yellow Bridge (another foot bridge in the same area) to avoid its closure for not being in perfect conditions.

The administrator also indicated that they are working with the Luanda Public Water Company (Epal) and the National Police to raise awareness of the residents of Kikuxi district to avoid bathing in the open pit as a danger to life.

During the festivities of this municipality were provided trousseau kits to two ladies whose babies were born in the early hours of the day 13 at the Ana Paula hospital.

Still on the 54th anniversary of Viana district, a team led by the administrator made a three-hour visit to the premises of Refriango company, having travelled through the areas of production of soft drinks, beers and detergents.

The Viana municipality - which has the urban districts of Estalagem, Baia, Zango, Kicukuxi, Vila Flor and Viana (the seat of the municipality) and the Calumbo Commune - was elevated to the status of town on 13 December 1965 during the Portuguese colonial administration.
