The crime happened on September 26, 2018, at the victims' residence.
During the ruling, Judge Milton Kafolona said that the defendant acted with intentional intent and committed a "serious" crime of theft with deaths, although he had in his favor some mitigating factors such as absence of criminal record, confession of the crime and modest condition social and economic development.
The judge also added that, considering the illegality of the facts, the fault of the defendant, it is justified the application of a sentence in which the court, on behalf of the Angolan people, deems and proven the accusation of the Public Prosecutor in condemning the defendant to 24 years in prison.
The court also upheld the claim of compensation to the family of victims requested by the Prosecuting Council, condemning Alfredo Bongo, 23-year old, to pay two million kwanzas.
Speaking to the press, local prosecutor Luís José of the prosecutor's office (prosecution) said that the application of the 24-year sentence and compensation of the family will not bring back the lives of children, whose deaths to this day continue to shake the family.
