Mother kills seven-year-old son after losing phone

Huambo - A 26-year-old resident of the Cavongue Alto neighborhood outside Huambo city was detained last weekend for allegedly murdering her seven-year-old son whom she accused of theft of a telephone, ANGOP learned from an institutional source this Monday.

According to the report by the National Police Command in Huambo province on the public security situation, during the last three days, the crime of voluntary homicide due to physical assault occurred hours after the mother lost the telephone, and she then gave hard blows to the minor in order to make him confess the act.

The note indicates that the accused citizen is being held in one of the cells of the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC), where she should be heard by the representative of the Prosecuting Council.
